Güglingen, September 18, WEBER-HYDRAULIK GMBH, one of the leading providers of customized hydraulic solutions, has successfully received the TISAX certificate (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange). The internationally recognized seal of approval underlines the Group’s commitment to the highest information security standards, especially in its cooperation with partners from the automotive industry.
The TISAX audit is a central standard developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). It serves to ensure information security in the automotive industry’s supply chain. With the seal of approval, the hydraulics specialist demonstrates that sensitive data that is processed as part of development and production processes is comprehensively protected.
Safety standards for the future
As part of the audit, all relevant processes at the headquarters in Güglingen were reviewed and optimized. The company has implemented an information security management system (ISMS) that ensures that the automotive industry’s requirements for data protection, availability and integrity of data are met in full.
“The introduction of the new ISMS was a welcome opportunity to review and tighten up our already high security precautions in IT,” explains Frank Bissinger, Head of IT at the Group. “The results of the audit include new authentication procedures, improved password management and even stricter security precautions and access restrictions at our premises. The audit procedure for our Polish plant is planned for the end of the year, so that we will also receive a seal of approval here towards the beginning of 2025.”
Certified information security as a strong development partner
The seal of approval was developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The ENX portal makes the corresponding results transparent for companies in the industry. The portal enables participating companies to share their assessment results securely with existing and potential business partners. Access to this information is exclusive to TISAX® participants, while the results are not made available to the general public.
